From childhood we have grown up hearing the Stotra path at the onset of Mahalaya, the auspicious day marking the end of Pitripaksha and beginning of Devipaksha. Devipaksha is a time to worship the Devi, Ma Durga in her nine forms. Durga Puja is an integral part of Bengali culture, at home and beyond, binding the hearts of Bengalis far and wide.
In Netherlands, Durga Puja celebration was first started by Kallol, when a few like-minded individuals got together and decided that we must have our very own Durga Puja in this country, which is our home away from home. Planning and execution took a lot of time, energy, commitment, immense hard work and eventually “Ma” came to Netherlands for the first time in 2010. Since then, there is no looking back. Every year Kallol has been celebrating Durga Puja with a lot of enthusiasm, dedication, fun and laughter, accompanied by mouth-watering food and cultural events every evening during the Puja days.

This year Kallol is celebrating Durga Puja from Sashti, Saturday, October 01 till Dashami, Wednesday, October 05. It will be 5 days of celebrations with daily Puja, Prasad, Bhog, Lunch, Dinner and Cultural Events throughout the days.
